Mail and Supply Ship Bella Desgagnes |
2025 Summer and Fall in the Gulf of Saint Lawrence |
The Bella Desgagnes offers transportation and cruise for local residents and visitors, while primary purpose is to bring mail and supplies to many of Quebec's picturesque villages located along the 900-km-long coast from Rimouski to Blanc-Sablon.
The Gulf of St. Lawrence is special for ecological productivity, as well as culturally. Since the 1600s, people have fitted themselves into the landscape integrating their culture into a living, European contact with the First Nations began here. |
Sailings are weekly from Rimouski on Monday at 10 PM, arriving back the following Monday morning. The best way to get there from far away places is by air to Quebec City or Montreal one day earlier, then by "Orleans" bus to Rimouski. Port calls vary from a couple of hours to half a day. Sightseeing tours are available in some places and are booked on board the vessel. The fare for seniors (over 65) varies from CAD 2,052 per person in a 'Select' twin-bedded cabin in low season to CAD 2,565 in high season, plus 20% for tax and fees. There is just one 'Select Panoramic' cabin, with an approx 20% higher rate. Please see below a detailed schedule and tariff for 2025: 2025 Schedule 2025 Tariff |
This 1,000-ton vessel was built in Croatia in 2013. She has an Ice Class, flies Canadian flag, and extends a good tradition the Bella,s forerunner Nordik Express established since 1990s. We have been booking our clents on both ships. |
